The Window Gallery of Atelier of Lyttleton Stores Cooperative presents "Art, Farming and Cultural Change", an exhibition of KSCA projects.

KSCA, or the Kandos School of Cultural Adaptation, was formed in early 2016 by a group of artists, writers and activists to pursue the idea of art as an activity that brings about cultural change. Much of KSCA’s work revolves around the post-industrial town of Kandos (about an hour-and-a-half northwest of the Blue Mountains), in Wiradjuri country. However its members come from many places, and its projects bridge regional, rural and urban Australia.

KSCA’s projects include ‘An Artist, a Farmer and a Scientist Walk Into a Bar’ and ‘The Hemp Initiative’, both of which will be showcased within the Window Gallery and Atelier of Lyttleton Stores Cooperative this April.

Join us in toasting KSCA’s work and the spirited culture, and cultural change, of Central Western New South Wales with organic alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and appetizers made in house. 

Following the exhibition launch, join us for our KSCA Panel Discussion and Dinner! 

The Panel Discussion begins at 6:50pm (and lasts an hour). Our seven panelists are founding members of KSCA; influential thinker and environmentalist Ian Milliss, Cementa Contemporary Arts Festival co-founder Alex Wisser, coordinator of ‘An Artist, a Farmer and a Scientist Walk Into a Bar’ Laura Fisher, local artists of ‘An Artist, a Farmer and a Scientist Walk Into a Bar Georgie Pollard, Jono Bolitho and Imogen Semmler, and local artist of The Hemp Initiative Gilbert Grace. This panel will be facilitated by Eloise Maree Crossman (our Exhibitions and Atelier Coordinator).

Dinner begins at 8pm and is a perfect opportunity to talk to the panelists as well as fellow art appreciators and environmentalists, as well as to us about our art and other community initiatives and our organic produce (which will be consumable as scrumptious share platters around a long table).

The KSCA Panel Discussion and Dinner is $50.00 per person (and BYO), and bookings are essential.
